Keeping in touch with family, even though we are far away...

We are transplants from rural Arizona, so obviously we are loving the excitement of the city. We like riding the Metro (okay, that's mainly the kids...), sight-seeing at the White House, going on adventures, and swimming at the Rec Center. So, obviously, life is good for the Virginia Lambsons.

Halloween Spoooooooks!

Well, the kids decided to use their allowance money to go all out on costumes this year, so we went to Party City and got CRAZY! And let's just say I'm not complaining about buying ready-made costumes which are made already saving me from having to make them. Because they are already MADE! And ready. YES!

Tanner decided to dress as an eeeeevil DEMENTOR (wooooooo), escaped from the bowels of the wizard prison, Azkaban. The mask looks stupid. He will just pull the hood over his face and make kissy faces. If you don't know what I'm talking about then you should READ THE HARRY POTTER BOOKS.

Hannah told me she is sick and tired of being a heavenly fairy princess because she has been a fairy princess for as long as she can remember, you know, for, like, the past four years or something! So she decided to go in an entirely different direction, the Little Devil...

Allison. In a surprising turn of events, she decided to dress as a big ol' ugly TROLL this year! Oh, I kid. As if. Allison must be LOVELY, y'all! After much deliberation on the pros and cons of all the Disney Princess characters, she settled on dressing as Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Aaaaaw! CUTE.

My little cutie pies. Totally too cute to spook.

YEs'm, too bloody cute -if I can use both those words in the same sentence- to be spooky. I'm spooked. Home alone, booger monsters in the hall, spooked that snow will cave in our tent in Cortez and and and. Kyme complained he didn't get enough candy, Zach was plenty pleased with his stash (church trunk or treat spoils). Perhaps the REAL halloween will treat them more graciously.

Hope you guys are doing well, I think of ya'll all the time.

Take care,
Kevn
